Puppies
In 2003, Tropic Waters Pet Center was proud to offer quality puppies from Menning Enterprises. Menning Enterprises is owned and operated by Ron and Kim Menning in Edgerton, MN. The USDA licensed business has been family operated for 31 years. All puppies are started on grooming, dental, and a healthy puppy program when they are born. All puppies are current on worming, vaccinations, and come with a health certificate. All puppies receive human contact and are well socialized. Anyone who has ever purchased a puppy from Menning Enterprises is welcome to visit and tour the facility. They enjoy, as do we, hearing from our customers about their exciting journey with their new addition!
We work very hard to keep our puppies happy and healthy. We follow many policies to insure each puppy recieves the care they require. Early puppy socialization experiences are for your puppy to enjoy a lifetime of confident, friendly communication with the world around him. Here at Tropic Waters we encourage our puppies to see the world as a friendly place, by introducing them to as many new and different people, sounds, smells and situations as possible. To aid in developing this early socialization our puppies are introduced to toys, different people, and other puppies as soon as they arrive.
Each puppy has their own individual kennel with a variety of toys available for them to play with. We select toys with different textures and shapes to help stimulate and entertain our puppies throughout the day. Examples of toys include fabric, rope, latex, and tennis balls. Each kennel also as a soft fabric bed to give them comfort while they sleep.
Throughout the business day, our puppies are handled and played with by big and little customers. We have two puppy play rooms that we take puppies out several times a day to help get them used to meeting new people. Here we are able to observe our puppies in different situations and better understand how they see the world around them and how they deal with stress. We then are able to convey this information to potential buyers and help them decide if this puppy is the right fit for their home. We take our puppies out not only for potential buyers but also for anyone that needs to get their “puppy fix.”
The final step in socializing our puppies is letting them play with each other. Every morning and afternoon we let our puppies play in groups depending on age, size, and level of play. Here our puppies are able to use play as a way to learn about the different postures and noises and how other puppies react to them. It is also a time where they are able to get exercise and interaction.
As a puppy gets older we start working on leash training with them. They are also taken out every two hours during the day to start the basics of potty training. Upon going potty we praise our puppies and reward them with a quality puppy treat. When a puppy finds a home we feel confident that it has the proper foundation to develop into a well behaved, confident, sociable member of the family.

I’m looking for a YorkiePoo puppy. Do you ever get this breed of puppy in your store? If not, do you know of anyone that breeds Yorkies and Poodles. Would you be able to give there name and phone # to me? Thank you for your time.
By tropi26, June 24, 2010 @ 6:47 pm
We just sold our yorkie-poo puppy yesterday. We don’t see a whole lot of this mix but it is a breed our breeder has. If you are interested in being notified when our next one comes in call the store at 715-832-0174 and leave a special order. A special order doesn’t guarantee we can get one by a specific time, nor does it require you to purchase the dog. It simply means you would be notified first when we/if got one in.

I am looking for a Teacup Yorkie. Do you guys ever get them? If not, could you please let me know where I could maybe find one here in Eau Claire or surrounding areas.
Thanks
By tropi26, July 22, 2010 @ 10:15 pm
Our breeder doesn’t breed for size of his puppies, he breeds for health and quality as pets. He does have small yorkies, but we do not guarantee that they will be extremely small. Our last yorkie was a hair over 2lbs at 8 weeks old, so she was quite small. Many of our yorkies are in this size range growing to be about 5-6lbs full grown. By teacup are you looking for something that stays under 2lbs? Teacup is a term that is loosely used when it comes to dogs since a “teacup” yorkie is not papered any different than a regular size yorkie. Let us know if you would like to be contacted when our next yorkie comes in, if you are looking for something in the size range specified above.

I am looking for a yorkie puppy for a companion. Do you currently have any in? And if so what’s the cost generally?
By tropi26, December 7, 2010 @ 12:38 pm
Hi Kayla, we currently do not have any yorkshire terriers in. When we do carry them they typically run about $1100.00. We will be getting in a Yorshire Terrier mixed with a Lhasa Apso this week. If that is something you might be interested in, it will be here thursday for people to hold.

By tropi26, February 7, 2011 @ 11:38 pm
Hi Casey,
If you go under the puppies tab, then current available puppies, there are pictures and a list of what we have. The majority of our puppies are small breeds, is there anything in particular you are looking for?
By Sandra, February 21, 2011 @ 2:11 pm
Hi!
I heard that your pet store had a Shiba Inu not that long ago but of course, it’s probably gone by now since they are sooo cute and a very great dog breed. I was wondering when you will get another one in as I am looking to adopt/buy one! =D
By tropi26, February 21, 2011 @ 8:00 pm
Hi Sandra,
Yes, our Shiba has found a home. They are not a breed we get in very often at all, they for some reason or another do not sell well for us. It is possible we may get another but it could be quite some time before we see one. If you are very interested in getting a puppy I would encourage you call the store at 715-832-0174 and talk to a manager.
Thank you!

Wat type of dog can u buy with 50 dollars?
By tropi26, May 9, 2011 @ 11:20 am
I am sorry Misty, we do not sell any dogs for $50. You might want to check out the dogs at your local humane association if you have a tight budget. You also need to consider the amount in vet bill you will have the first year and the cost of food and miscellaneous supplies.

Do you get any golden doodle puppies in?
By tropi26, March 16, 2012 @ 9:05 am
We have had one golden doodle puppy in the past 9 years, so we do not get them often at all. We are starting to get more and more larger breeds but as a whole we don’t get in to many. Doesn’t mean we wont get one but it is not likely. Any other questions let us know!
