I’m trying to find out how much a 5 gallon aquriam and a couple of goldfish is going to cost me. I live in an apartment where I can have small pets such as a pug or declawed cat but it is 500.00 deposit. I don’t want a bird because they make too much noise, so I’ve decided on fish. Please reply. Thank You, Alvin Davis
A 5 gallon tank and a couple of fish are going to cost you around $20. You might want to also consider added a filter and gravel to the tank. Stop by and we will be able to show you what is included in a goldfish tank setup.
We would need to know what kind of fish you have first. We don’t take all types of larger fish and typically we don’t pay for them but it depends on what they are. Let us know what kind you have, how large they are, and how many and we can go from there. Also do you know where they were purchased from?
I have three redtail barbs that are about 5-9 inches. I have albino redtail barbs that are about 5-6 inches. I purchased them in La Crosse from MarineLand.
In order for us to pay for any guppies they must be a sellable size, which we consider 1in or larger. The price we pay depends on the quality of fish and which sex they are (males are worth more than females). We also have to have room for the fish in order for us to pay out on them, currently we are full but you can keep contacting us every week to see if space opens up.

I have some guppies that were recently born in my aquarium. How much would you pay for them?
