Melissa has always loved working with animals.  She first joined the TWPC team as a part-time employee in college.  After 3 years of learning about small and exotic animals, she decided to focus on grooming.  Loving the one-on-one work with dogs and cats, she kept grooming through college.  After graduating from UWEC , with an arts degree, Melissa put her education to work doing graphic design.

Missing those drooling tongues and waging tails, she went back to work grooming.  In April of 2007, she rejoined the Tropic Waters family as the “stylist” at the new Bark Avenue Salon.  Currently Melissa has over 10 years of experience grooming various dogs and cats.

We understand the need to take steps towards a greener future.  The products we use in our salon are as gentle on the environment as they are on your dog or cat.  Our shampoos are soap free (so they’re gentle on the most sensitive skin) and cruelty free (something we know your dog will smile about!).  Our shampoos & conditioners are all-natural, biodegradable, and free of harsh additives and chemicals.  We’re sure that you’ll appreciate knowing that a day of pampering your pooch also means some papering for mother nature.  At Bark Avenue Salon, we know that if everyone takes small steps to be eco-friendly together we can make a big difference.
